Hi, I'm Claire.

I'm a researcher, designer, and problem solver for all things UI/UX.

About

Nice to meet you - I'm Claire.

portrait I'm an undergraduate student studying Business Administration and Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University.

I'm passionate about creating inclusive designs for people-oriented technolgies.

With my multidisciplinary background in Business and HCI, I have a unique perspective to offer in utilizing UX research and UI/UX design to bridge the information gap between businesses and consumers. Ultimately, I want to work towards creating a more efficient interaction space between firms and customers.

Outside of school and work, I enjoy creating and expressing myself through a variety of outlets, from bullet journaling to experimenting in my kitchen. I'm currently in the process of perfecting an original Korean-Italian fusion pasta recipe!

This summer, I'm going to be a UX Design Intern at Workday. I'm really excited to learn and collaborate with their amazing design team!

Projects

Moneyversity

Team: Anna Yuan, Jamie Park

portrait

Did you know that nearly two-thirds of Americans can't pass a basic test on financial literacy? Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for better financial literacy skills has never been so present. To help address this issue, we created Moneyversity, a game-based online learning platform that aims to help young adults improve their financial literacy skills and apply them to real-world scenarios. Over the course of the Fall 2020 semester, my team and I designed this platform concept from ideation to final prototype.

ClassInSight is a smart classroom technology developed at Carnegie Mellon University. It uses sensors to capture anonymized student and teacher nonverbal data, with the goal of improving teacher efficacy through nonverbal behavior analysis. Since August 2020, I've been working with the ClassInSight team to develop data visualization components for the ClassInSight interface.

Skinfo

Solo project

portrait

Skinfo is a skincare-oriented habit tracking and information sharing platform that aims to help users make informed decisions about their skincare habits and purchases. Especially since the COVID-19 pandemic, interest in skincare has been on the rise. The problem is, skincare is highly individualized and multifaceted, and there is no one-product-fits-all. Skinfo takes a consistent, long-term data collection approach to generate the personalized information that skincare users want to know.
